Hello to all supporters of the MVSF, and to those who wish to learn more about the foundation. This year the MVSF has continued to do what it has done well in the past. We have raised substantial funds for cancer-related organizations and have continued to build our base of directors, volunteers, and other community partnerships.

This year we have hosted two key events. In April, we held our 5th annual indoor volleyball event at Beach Blast. In August, we hosted our annual charity golf event, this time at the Angus Glen Golf Club. We will also be hosting our annual curling bonspiel later this year and will finish up the year as we have done in each of the last seven years, by hosting a Christmas party at the Princess Margaret Hospital for pediatric patients and their families. Each child will receive a gift from Santa.

Along with our key events, we were also able to secure significant sponsorships and general funding from both long-time partners as well as new allies. Organizations such as Acuity Funds Ltd., Bellville-Rodair International, TD Securities, Legend Creek Homes, and RBC Dominion Securities all again have been generous supporters this year.

From these fund-raising events and general contributions to the MVSF, we have made significant donations to Gilda’s Club of Greater Toronto, and B.R.A.I.N. child, during the course of this year. In closing, the MVSF is thankful to the members of our community who have supported us, and we look forward to building new alliances in 2007 also. Personally, I am very proud of what we have accomplished in our eight years of existence, and my promise is that we will continue to strive to enhance and further our support and services, to help as many community members as is possible. A personal thank you too, to our dedicated and well-rounded group of directors and volunteers who have exhibited the qualities of respect, caring, appreciation, support, and collaboration, that are a key part of our mission statement.
